Mahal Kita Kasi

Here’s one cheesy song I got from youtube. It’s by Nicole Hyala. It’s one mushy song but it can surely make you smile and laugh with the message of the song. In fact, anyone who is in love became mushy, right? One appropriate song for this Valentine’s Day.

Taking Care of Your Body

Health is wealth. Indeed, everyone of us should take care of our health. We shouldn’t take it for granted. Having good health helps us be productive and help attain our goals in life. With poor health, we cannot work well. As a general rule, have a healthy weight based on our height in order to attain a normal body mass index (BMI). People get overly conscious with their weight, which lead them to consider taking in weight loss drinks. It is more evident to gym goers who would want to have an immediate weight loss. There’s a risk though and that is why we have to consult our physician first to check if it is safe to take. Anyways, there are natural ways of losing weight, it might not be an abrupt weight loss, but it’s safer than anything else. That is to exercise daily and to have a balance meal. I suggest small frequent meals in order to boost up your metabolism.

Love For Work

Many successful people says that you should love your work and everything will come out smoothly. If you learn to love your work, you wouldn’t be working like you are obliged to, but instead you work happily and contented. Looking forward for the next day of your work. I’ve seen a lot of people who are passionate in their work. And it shows! Just for example this one man, we were surprised to see our station with a table and office furniture in one vacant room. According to him, aside from being his office, he opened this office for our senior heads to use for their paperworks and for resting. So they may have a comfortable place to work and to rest in. That’s one thoughtful idea of his and I admire him for applying his idea.

The Importance of Controlling One’s Temper

Here’s one note I found on facebook. It’s a short story about anger and the importance of controlling one’s temper. Verbal wounds really are much painful than physical one. The scar it left will forever remain in our hearts. Jesus even stated in the book of Ephesians 4:26-27, “Be angry but do not sin: do not let your anger last until the end of the day, lest you give the devil a foothold.” Let us learn to control our temper, since anger may lead us to hurting others and committing sin.

Nail In The Fence

There once was a little boy who had a bad temper. His Father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence.
The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence.
Finally the day came when the boy didn’t lose his temper at all. He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper.
The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone. The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. He said, “You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same.
When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one. You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. It won’t matter how many times you say I’m sorry, the wound is still there.
A verbal wound is as bad as a physical one. Friends are very rare jewels, indeed. They make you smile and encourage you to succeed. They lend an ear, they share words of praise and they always want to open their hearts to us.

Assisting a Gyne Case Procedure

Most gyne cases in the operating room are minor cases and can be done in a matter of less than an hour. Gyne cases as well as OB cases are given the priority to be catered in the operating room. Most of the minor gyne cases doesn’t require a scrub nurse. The procedures can be done by the OB-Gyne and the resident gynecologist together.

I once assisted a minor gyne case in the operating room. It was the excision of a Bartholin’s cyst. While the procedure was going on, the OB-Gyne and the anesthesiologist were discussing about Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) especially chlamydia symptoms. It was an informative discussion.

It is alarming however that STD cases are increasing in our society nowadays. People now are sexually active and don’t even care about the use of condoms. Many didn’t mind the precautions given by health care workers and advertisements not until they themselves get the disease. It’s embarassing for some but it would be wise to see a gynecologist regularly.

A Taste of Italian Cuisine

No doubt I am a food lover. My weight can even justify that (*Laughing out loud). The most I love are chocolates and pasta! Pastas in white sauce, especially carbonara and sicily. And so I concluded that I love Italian cuisine the first time I tasted their food. They’re pizza is a delight as well!

I have some few favorite local Italian restaurants in town. Visited the place often with my friends and we always had a scrumptious time together! I am even looking forward to discovering new food havens in town for great Italian cuisines.

I heard Italian restaurant La Jolla from a friend when she visited her fiance in California. She raves about the comfort foods and comfortable prices this restaurant offers, with an authentic home style Italian food in a Mediterranean setting. I can’t help but imagine another food haven to discover. It’s one thing that gets me excited to visit California sometime soon.

Looking Forward For A Hair Transplant Surgery

Now that I am officially an Operating Room Nurse, one of the surgical procedures that I am looking forward to encounter is the hair transplant procedure. Never had any idea on how the surgery will commence, but it must be one of the exciting procedures to encounter. So far, I haven’t knew any hair transplant experts in town. But I guess, once this procedure will be made in the OR, we’ll know who the experts are. Of course, we need to take into consideration the skill and experience of such surgeon to handle this surgery since we entrust our lives in their hands.

There are a number of people, especially men, who suffer from hair loss. Some are even conscious of it and that is the reason why there are hair transplant surgeons nowadays to cater to their needs. It’s one method to help boost the self-confidence of that individual. As well as the solution to the hair loss problem of some.

I Still Love You But It Hurts

*Photo credited to Redeemer of Light of deviantart.

It’s been a year. And yet memories of you still haunts me. The happy moments we’ve shared were greatly missed. Even the pains that we both went through kept on haunting me. The more I set my mind to forget you, the more I misses you. There wasn’t any day that I don’t think of you. Everywhere I go, I see your face, your smile, and your voice I hear. I wonder, do you feel the same way?

Yet, I still feel hurt. Hurt with the way you are right now. You became the type of guy I hated most. But why is it that I still love you? Don’t want to totally entertain the thought of what you are right now. So disappointing…so discouraging. I don’t want to be regretful of choosing you and I don’t want to wait for the time where I’ll lost my respect and love in you. This is why I needed to keep my distance. To safeguard myself from more pains. And to safeguard my love for you. Hope you’ll understand my choice and won’t take it against me.
