Thank God It’s Raining

*Photo credited to hclemon of deviantart.

For the past weeks or I guess it’s months already, there wasn’t no rain in the city. Perhaps it’s brought about El Nino. It was so hot and humid I can’t even dare to ride the public jeepney. My skin felt like burning.

And so I thanked God for waking yesterday hearing raindrops on our rooftop. It’s so nice to feel the rain again for how many days of it’s absence. Indeed, absence makes the heart grow fonder. Tee Hee!

Pearl Cream Fan

Just two days ago, a colleague of mine saw each other at the mall. Since we were both malling alone, we decided to accompany each other. There I accompanied her to eyecrafter and looked for a spetacles for her. After which we headed to the cosmetic section of the department store and I remembered planning on to buy a pearl cream. She was also planning to buy one. We were looking for a home remedy for acne and we decided to give pearl creams a try.

Diet That Works

A friend of mine attested to the potato diet. She eats sweet potato during dinner time and skipped rice meals. It’s evident that she got this flat stomach in which I envy. She recommended this to me since according to her this is one of the diets that work. It worked for her and I guess it would work in me too. In fact, it also worked with my uncle. He has been using this diet for years already and the outcome was satisfactory. So I was thinking of doing the same thing.

Try not to think about the past too much… It will only confuse you further.

People say, “Past is past“. It’s history. In Kung Fu Panda, Shifu said, “Yesterday is a history. Tomorrow, a mystery. But today..today is a gift. that’s why it’s called present.” That was one good thought.

Everything happens for a reason and everything that had happened is already in the past. Let us not dwell too much in the past for it may hinder us from moving forward. There are no mistakes in life only lessons. So let our experiences in the past serve as a lesson for each and everyone of us. These lessons will help us to grow and to live our life fully. Remember, no one is perfect. It’s part of our life that we fail sometimes but what matters most is how we stand up again from that fall.

Bonding With Friends

It’s fun to be able to bond with friends. Chill out with them. Maybe go movies with them or shopping, or even drink with them. These are some of the things you and your friends do to mingle with each other. Especially when you just came from a stressful work. Last night, I was too stressed with our case. I scrubbed for like 6-7 hours and even had an overtime. It was exhausting considering that I haven’t eaten my dinner yet. Went slight hypoglycemic during my assist.

After which, I was hoping that my gimik buddies and I could see each other and unwind and have dinner. But they weren’t available last night. That was kinda sad and I was thinking we wouldn’t be hanging out together during the Holy Week, especially with Black Friday. Hopefully after the Lenten Season, we could go outing again, maybe in the beach.

Monitoring Oxygen Saturation

According to pulseox.info, oxygen saturation (SpO2) is a measure of how much oxygen the blood is carrying as a percentage of the maximum it could carry. In the unit where I worked, when the patient has lower than 95% of SpO2, we start oxygen inhalation at 2 Lpm via nasal cannula while waiting for the anesthesiologist. If lower SpO2 persists, then we refer them to a physician. The equipment used for monitoring SpO2 is the use of a finger pulse oximeter.

No Matter How Good You Try To Be To Others, You Will Occasionally Hurt Them

There’s truth to the saying that you just cannot please everybody. It’s either you dwell into it or just accept that fact. It all boils down to differences in our personality and interests. And no matter how good you are with everyone, there will always come a time that you see yourself hurting others, be it consciously or unconsciously.

No fret. It’s part of life. Forgive yourself from hurting others and forgive others for hurting you. That way, you’ll be happier and more peaceful with yourself. Don’t be too harsh on yourself. Learn from every experiences that comes your way and don’t forget to have fun. Prayer always make wonders.
