Just two weeks ago, my friends at work and I were planning to have weekend vacation at Surigao where the enchanted river is located. We heard how beautiful that river is and I think it is a must visit. Unfortunately the package for that trip this weekend is kind of expensive. It could have been affordable like the Branson vacation packages. But it is very unfortunate that it isn’t Branson package. Hopefully there will be a next cheaper package for that getaway.

I am torn between getting a prepaid medical insurance or a life insurance. But I think, for now the former is more important than the latter considering my parents health and with emergency cases. I just hope I could get one next year as the slots would be open early next year. It could be a great help for me and my family when the need arises. I guess I just made a choice!

The retreat last week left me with amazement from the location, the food, the church, the chants and the monks. The simplicity of everything made it beautiful holistically. I love how they keep everything so simple. Even our rooms were ordinary with matouk like bedding that keeps me comfortable in my sleep. True enough, as what our retreat master has enlightened us, when things get complicated…just keep it simple.

One of the things a PACU nurse do, is to render health teachings to his/her patient. It is essential for this nurse to give health teachings so as to help with the recovery of the patient’s health status. Encouraging deep breathing exercises is one of the instructions that is given especially if the patient has respiratory problems. Teaching the patient how to use the spirometer is also done if it is being ordered by the physician. Being a PACU nurse entails a great responsibility in the post anesthesia care of the patient.

It could have been better if she was offering it to me for free. That I would gladly accept. But the thing is, I couldn’t afford it yet if we talk about my earnings. And so I have to decline that offer. Other thing is, I think medical insurance and disability insurance are more important than the former. I could get to take life insurance if I get the chance to work abroad. But for now, medical is more significant.

Last July 23, our department has conducted a seminar with regards to post anesthesia care. And even though it’s not obligatory that everyone of us should have a dress code, our officer in charge has decided to buy a black tshirts with a print on that would distinguish us that we are from the operating room department. It was gotten from our funds and we were all very excited about it. I even accompanied our OIC in the department store and in buying black shirts from their wholesale apparel section. We even received a discount from it.

There are just some people who seeks attention. And even though you already tried ignoring them, they just don’t give up and instead make things that would really catch your attention. I find these people pathetic. Especially this certain girl. I don’t know if it’s out of insecurity or to just make feel jealous, but what she’s doing is really dumb and stupid. She’s just making it more obvious that she is not secured with her so-called boyfriend.
