And now, I think our story has ended. I will miss you for sure. How I wish these are just trials in our relationship and hope that time and space is all we need. But then again, it’s hard to expect and be disappointed at the end. So I have to agree that things went downhill for us so I could let go.

Good bye my almost lover! Thank you for the good and happy memories we’ve shared.

Thank you God for all the blessings you have bestowed on me. Even with the trials I encountered, I learned to see them as a blessing and faced them with courage and faith in YOU. You made me stronger this year. Your gift of inner happiness and peace helped me survive this year.

As 2012 is approaching, I look forward for more blessings to come with FAITH, HOPE and LOVE. New Year…better me! ^_^

H A P P Y  N E W  Y E A R ! ! !

First off, my father was rushed in the hospital due to dizziness. He undergone colonoscopy the next day of his hospital admission due to his health background which is excreting bloody stool for years now. Unfortunately, the most feared came out, he have a rectal mass. It looked malignant. We were advised to have him take a radiation therapy, surgery and chemotherapy. The costs of these were too expensive. My family can’t afford it. And that’s what my family is worried about. We want to help my father. I, for one wants to give the best treatments for him if only we could afford it.

Good thing my work as an OR nurse pave the way to know surgeons and anesthesiologists in our institution. They helped us with what we’re going through for a minimal fee. They’re a blessing! I then realized my purpose why I became an OR nurse despite of not wanting it in the first place. My profession helped my father and my family. Truly God does have plans for us. And I am thankful to Him despite of the storm that we’re facing now.  I know He’s with us in battling this. I just hope we could give these treatments to him as soon as possible so he’ll be totally cured from cancer.

Secondly, the day my father was admitted was also the day my boyfriend and I broke up. I find it unreasonable considering it was just a petty fight. But with the circumstances my family is facing now, I can’t focus dwelling on my personal problem. Though I’m quite hurt but I know I’ll handle this maturely than my previous relationship.

It took us 10 minutes to reach white island from our cottage. We arrived early morning to witness the sunrise and of course enjoy the waters without the sun burning our skin. There’s nothing much on the sandbar. But it’s relaxing lying on it’s white sand and dippin on it’s clear crystal water. On the side are the view of the Mt. Vulcan and Mt. Hibok Hibok which I think is truly magnificent.

Paras Beach Resort

During our Camiguin trip, we had our dinner at Paras Beach resort. It’s a known resort locally. You still have to pay an entrance fee of like P150 even if you’re just going to dine in. The foods were great and affordable as well. The place is cozy and calm. Very convenient for couples who are having their vacation there. This is where most of the foreign guests stay.

This 250 feet waterfall is one of the few beautiful waterfalls I’ve seen. With it’s clear cold water that is so relaxing to dip in. I truly felt amazed and relaxed during my short stay here. I wanted to stay longer but we still have one more place to go. Besides, twilight’s coming so we have to hurry and head to our next destination. Really this place is truly wonderful.

During Holy Week, this place is popular to devotees. People gathered here to repent and to make sacrifices by completing the stations of the cross. Statues are placed in every station signifying each mystery of the Holy Rosary. The place is also conducive for meditation and reflection. Locals say that when you reach the end of the station you could get a good view of the old Mt. Vulcan’s crater. But we chose not to finish the station of the cross due to lack of time. Maybe next time we’ll complete it by then.

Heading to our next stop, we kept on thinking why it was named to be the “Soda Water Swimming Pool”. Must taste like soda. This confusion lead us to be excited reaching our next destination.

Arriving at the said destination, there were a number of people in the pool. People from different walks of life and different ages. Seemed like they were there to unwind and to relax. The place was indeed relaxing and calm as it lies at the foot of Mt. Hibok Hibok. Without further adieu, we hopped in the pool and literally took a taste of the water. With disappointment, the name of the place kept on bugging us, since we cannot taste the soda in it. But some people do attested that it tasted sweeter like a soda, hence the name derived from it. The taste must have changed as with age.

The Old Church Ruins

The Old Church Ruins comprises of the old huge wall surrounding this little chapel. The said church in Catarman, also known as the “Gui-ob Church” was destroyed and partly submerged with debris when Mt. Volcan erupted in the 1870′s.
