Being a reliever entitles you to lesser benefits in the work field. You are more bombarded with workload and yet you have little compensation for it. At times, you feel like getting a leave of absence from work but thinks otherwise because it would affect your performance and evaluation. I’m longing for a vacation leave soon. I think I really needed it badly. I think I need to go on a Branson vacations one of these days. Needs to replenish and detoxify so I could perform well in my job.

This week has been a hectic time for all of us. Our unit was so busy due to a lot of surgeries in line. Though we were all toxic this week, we still managed to wear a smile on our faces and just laughed about our toxicity and our mishaps in the department. Some of us even went overtime just to help the incoming shift to finish all the cases. Indeed, it’s obvious that we all are very exhausted and I guess, the planned beach outing tomorrow is a blessing. We can all get to enjoy and relaxed a bit. Set aside our work problems as well as our careers for awhile and just detoxify. We’re all very much excited for tomorrow’s outing since majority of the OR staff will be there. It’s time to reconnect and bond with our fellow colleagues. We all deserve a break.

I was planning on to buy a book at the bookstore. But soon as I arrived at the mall, I was preoccupied on buying a new pair of shoes. And so I did a window shopping, canvassing on what to buy. I passed by the mall’s office supplies and forgot that I should buy a blue pen for my PM shift duty as well as a number lock for my locker. I was deeply busy searching for a nice shoes and so I stumbled on Femme and saw a nice pair of shoes and bought it forgetting all the other things that I need to buy. Toinks!

Many successful people says that you should love your work and everything will come out smoothly. If you learn to love your work, you wouldn’t be working like you are obliged to, but instead you work happily and contented. Looking forward for the next day of your work. I’ve seen a lot of people who are passionate in their work. And it shows! Just for example this one man, we were surprised to see our station with a table and office furniture in one vacant room. According to him, aside from being his office, he opened this office for our senior heads to use for their paperworks and for resting. So they may have a comfortable place to work and to rest in. That’s one thoughtful idea of his and I admire him for applying his idea.
