According to pulseox.info, oxygen saturation (SpO2) is a measure of how much oxygen the blood is carrying as a percentage of the maximum it could carry. In the unit where I worked, when the patient has lower than 95% of SpO2, we start oxygen inhalation at 2 Lpm via nasal cannula while waiting for the anesthesiologist. If lower SpO2 persists, then we refer them to a physician. The equipment used for monitoring SpO2 is the use of a finger pulse oximeter.

Gym Promo
Got an information yesterday from a friend that one of the local gyms we have here has promo for their gym use. It’s P4,500 for 6 months!! It’s a good catch. But where the heck would I get that money? It’s frustrating to have that kind of cheap deal but you don’t have the means to pay for it. Hays. Some people wonder why I worry too much with my figure and that I’m not fat. But I believed that my body is really deceiving. I’ve been gaining weight lately and I need to use weight loss products if I have to.

Quite Alarming
Oh no! I’ve gained 2 pounds for this past few weeks! That is alarming on my part. Already got this bulging tummy and it isn’t flattering to have, especially that summer is fast approaching. Arrggh! I need to do work outs again but it’s quite expensive yet. Need to wait for their next promo. Huhu. Oh well, I don’t think quick weight loss tips will do any help since I know already of those and yet what I need is self-control and a physical workout.

Got More Talent
It was the first time I watched “Pilipinas Got Talent” last night. They had these performers from Cebu and among the participants, the “Goldies and Goodies” among their late 40s to their 60s danced to the tune of “Single Ladies”. They were cute! And they danced gracefully. The audience as well as the judges gave them a standing ovation for a job well done. They were an inspiration to all of us, hoping that when we reached their age, we could still dance like they could. In fairness to them, I don’t think they would need whatever best weight loss supplement in the market to be physically fit. Because they already are.

It’s All In The Mind
It bothers me sometimes that when I plan on something, there will be something that will be a hindrance to attaining it. Just for example, I am planning to eat small frequent meals in order to maintain my body weight. The more I plan on how to attain it, the more I tend to over eat and crave. I guess it’s all in the mind and it really needs to have self-control to achieve it. As much as possible I don’t want to go on pills even though there are phentermine without prescription available in the market.

Taking Care of Your Body
Health is wealth. Indeed, everyone of us should take care of our health. We shouldn’t take it for granted. Having good health helps us be productive and help attain our goals in life. With poor health, we cannot work well. As a general rule, have a healthy weight based on our height in order to attain a normal body mass index (BMI). People get overly conscious with their weight, which lead them to consider taking in weight loss drinks. It is more evident to gym goers who would want to have an immediate weight loss. There’s a risk though and that is why we have to consult our physician first to check if it is safe to take. Anyways, there are natural ways of losing weight, it might not be an abrupt weight loss, but it’s safer than anything else. That is to exercise daily and to have a balance meal. I suggest small frequent meals in order to boost up your metabolism.

Assisting a Gyne Case Procedure
Most gyne cases in the operating room are minor cases and can be done in a matter of less than an hour. Gyne cases as well as OB cases are given the priority to be catered in the operating room. Most of the minor gyne cases doesn’t require a scrub nurse. The procedures can be done by the OB-Gyne and the resident gynecologist together.
I once assisted a minor gyne case in the operating room. It was the excision of a Bartholin’s cyst. While the procedure was going on, the OB-Gyne and the anesthesiologist were discussing about Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) especially chlamydia symptoms. It was an informative discussion.
It is alarming however that STD cases are increasing in our society nowadays. People now are sexually active and don’t even care about the use of condoms. Many didn’t mind the precautions given by health care workers and advertisements not until they themselves get the disease. It’s embarassing for some but it would be wise to see a gynecologist regularly.
