Insurance Talk

I had taken my stand on one of my early entries to invest in a health care insurance instead of a life insurance as of this moment. I find the necessity to have the former since we don’t know when illness strikes. It’s better to be prepared than to be cramming and to be worrying for our financial means when the needs arises. I do hope I could get a health insurance in nc when I reach there. It means greater help especially that I’m away from my family when that day comes.

Taking Care of Yourself During Pregnancy

Pregnancy is a crucial time in a woman’s life, especially in the first trimester. Prenatal checkup is therefore necessary to monitor your health and your baby’s health as well. Most OB-Gyne recommends taking good prenatal vitamins to supplement your nutritional needs, especially iron. There is indeed a significance observed with patients who undergone a regular prenatal checkup than those who aren’t. The former usually delivers a healthy baby. And i think that’s what we all want, right?

Evaluating My Workout Regimen

It’s been almost a month since I started my gym workout and unfortunately there isn’t any obvious result observed as of this time. Been given a program to follow during my workout and I think it isn’t enough. I wonder if taking the most effective diet pills 10K will aid in the weight loss process. Plus diet in the program, will surely give me the desired weight I needed. Hopefully, I would still maintain my ideal body weight despite of these all.

Comfortable Beddings

The retreat last week left me with amazement from the location, the food, the church, the chants and the monks. The simplicity of everything made it beautiful holistically. I love how they keep everything so simple. Even our rooms were ordinary with matouk like bedding that keeps me comfortable in my sleep. True enough, as what our retreat master has enlightened us, when things get complicated…just keep it simple.

Responsibility of a PACU Nurse

One of the things a PACU nurse do, is to render health teachings to his/her patient. It is essential for this nurse to give health teachings so as to help with the recovery of the patient’s health status. Encouraging deep breathing exercises is one of the instructions that is given especially if the patient has respiratory problems. Teaching the patient how to use the spirometer is also done if it is being ordered by the physician. Being a PACU nurse entails a great responsibility in the post anesthesia care of the patient.

Imagining Myself Being Pregnant

Later part of this year, will be my birthday. I’m getting older and yet I’m still single. Hehe. Though I am happy being single currently, I still thought of getting married especially now that I am starting to hit my late 20s. There are fantasies once in awhile of me in a married life and what it’s like running a family. Even thought of me being pregnant and gaining undesirable weight especially with taking prenatal vitamins. What would I look like? I suppose it would be unlikable. It’s funny how I imagine these things these days and I even find it entertaining.

The Complications Of Learning A New Sport

Learning a new sport is fun! But without proper preparations and exercise may lead to a serious muscle pains. Hehe! Got a chance to learn wakeboarding with my colleagues and we all had a great time! Since we’re new to it, we first tried the kneeboard intended for beginners like us. Although there’s a feeling of fear when you’re riding the board but if you overcome it and managed to take a turn around the park, it’s satisfying and addictive. The downside of too much thrill is we all got muscle pains, and until now, we’re still suffering from it. We all got bloopers in our workfield due to our being temporarily handicapped. Oh well, looking at the bright side, at least we only got muscle aches and not joint pain. I think the latter is undesirable.

My One Sad Case

I had this patient on STAT Explorative Laparotomy during my night shift. She has been complaining of sudden abdominal pain. The doctor’s who assessed her considered some intestinal obstruction and had her to undergo a surgical procedure to determine what’s wrong inside her abdomen. True enough, it was an advanced stage of colon cancer. That was one sad case I handled and I empathized with her and her family as well.

As early as now, we should do some annual check up and eat fibrous foods to help cleanse our colon. There are now several ways to cleanse the colon and you can find some colon cleanser reviews online for some details.

Bedding’s Allergy

For sometime now, I noticed how I have skin itchiness frequently. Thought it was due to my soap that causes drying of the skin. Even thought that perhaps the work area I’m in is full of bacteria that makes my skin reactive to it. There’s also a hint that it may be caused to allergy bedding. I remembered that one cause of allergy bedding is due to the presence of bed mites on it. Will try to change my beddings often and see if there’s still itchiness felt.
