I wondered why it’s called “enchanted river“. Was intrigue with this name months before I landed my foot on the Hinatuan River. The moment I set foot on the river, I was awed with it’s beauty. Truly the place is really beautiful. The water is clear you can even be deceived of it’s depth. The blue part of the lagoon is the deepest part. What’s more amazing is how you get to view the fishes being fed during lunch hour wherein a lagoon staff will blow a whistle to signal the people to get out of the water for the feeding time. Here you get to encounter different species of fish coming out of the water to be fed. After which, you can even swim in the water with the fishes underneath. They seemed to be friendly. There are several legends this river has. And because it’s depth remains immeasurable, thus the name, “enchanted“.
